Although not included tropical straight looks like a banker for a place at least at 11/2 in the 4pm at Pontifract, draw may scupper the odds on favourite.

Today I am aiming for place money in e/w Lucky 31s and these I reckon are the best for it. I like the 2 big handicap selections at hq, Singeur was third last time from a dreadfull draw. Classic rock and requisite look good for places but I doubt they will win, especially classic rock.

If there were more than 2 places I would have done Hooray at HQ and Astral Flower at Lingfeild for places. The latter i think could go in as fav has penalty so have backed them win, along with special duty at hq and state gathering in the 8.50 at kempton.

Highland knight has the best draw/speed/form combo today and is shorter now than when i backed it last night. My most fancied picks though are Avenueandalleyways which should be a place banker at least plus the 2 at Ascot.

If Autumn blades has got his mojo back after a break(3weeks is long for this nag)then that could be the value bet at 50/1. 4lbs lower than last win at this level, will get the distance and up hill finish and excuses can be made for its last two runs. The stables quiet but this bunny has maintained form regardless in the past.
