Saturday’s Racing
This Saturday brings us seven meetings in total with action from Ascot, Bangor-On-Dee, Chepstow, Fairyhouse, Hexham, Musselburgh and Wolverhampton. Wolves is an evening meeting, kicking off at 6.50pm and is live on At The Races. There are five live races on BBC1 and eight live on Channel 4, so plenty of action for the armchair punter to get their teeth into.

The race of the day is the ladbrokes.com Stakes at Ascot. This Class 2 Heritage Handicap has over £46,000 on offer to the winner and sees a host of this season’s top handicappers go to post including Young Mick, Drill Sergeant and Allied Powers.

You can get all the latest tips and news on the weekend’s racing from our horse racing forum.

Scoop 6
The Scoop 6 wasn’t won yet again last Saturday. The win fund stood at £279,530 last week so will be huge tomorrow. Save your lottery money and have £2 on this instead. Check out our Scoop 6 guide if you want to know exactly how the popular Tote bet works.

The Scoop 6 races are all live on Channel 4 apart from the 2.20 at Ascot which is on BBC1. The races are as follows;

2.10 Musselburgh
2.20 Ascot
2.25 Bangor
3.15 Musselburgh
3.30 Ascot
4.05 Ascot

Saturday’s Racing Preview

Friday, September 26th, 2008

A decent day’s racing for the back end of the flat season including meetings from Ascot, Chester, Great Leighs, Haydock and Market Rasen. Irish fans have Gowan Park and Navan to keep them entertained.

The pick of the action comes from Ascot with the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes. There is a strong French contingent in the small field but heading the market are the all conquering Ballydoyle stable with their multiple Group 1 winner, Henrythenavigator.

Market Rasen also stages some top class racing with the 32red.com Class 1 Handicap Chase at 3.15. I’d expect the Twiston Davies stable to continue their excellent form with Fundamentalist and Nudge and Nurdle towards the head of the handicap both holding strong claims.

For those in need of an evening fix, the action at Great Leighs kicks off at 5.50 with an 8 race card through to 9.20.

You can get all the latest tips and news on the weekend’s racing from the EBA Forum.

The Scoop 6 wasn’t won last week so there will be a big pot on offer for anyone brave enough to risk their £2! Check out our Scoop 6 guide if you want to know exactly how the popular Tote bet works.
